By pairing traditional finds often from her clients’ existing collections, with modern pieces and thoughtful finishes, she creates beautiful, functional spaces that feel fresh, personal, and authentic.

Lynn’s self-described design aesthetic is “not defined by a specific style, but more by a design philosophy: to create refined, but approachable, spaces that are a reflection of the people who live in them. Beautiful spaces are meant to be enjoyed.”
Following a career in retail and visual merchandising, and a career in corporate management, Lynn returned to her creative roots and engaged her passion for home design and interiors. In 2010, a large-scale renovation set her path in place, and led to the opening of her full-service residential design studio, Lynn Tanger Interiors, located in historic Alexandria, Virginia.
Her client’s home, preferences, and lifestyle are always the “jumping off point” of her design process, as she believes your home should tell your story. With her signature attention to detail, she draws inspiration for each design engagement from the client...their art, their favorite furniture pieces, their home‘s architecture and its setting to create a curated design that is cohesive, polished and personal.
